Aid 019 - An Inorganic Polymer
Codename: AID-019
Object Class: Alpha

Containment Protocols:
AID-019 is to be stored in container when not in use. In the case of a missing or damaged container, a new, non-individualized container will be commissioned.

Description:
AID-019 appears to be an inorganic polymer, composed of 65% dimethyl siloxane (hydroxyl-terminated polymers with boric acid), 17% silica (crystalline quartz), 9% Thixatrol ST (castor oil derivative), 4% polydimethylsiloxane, 1% decamethyl cyclopentasiloxane, 1% glycerine, and 1% titanium dioxide. While similar to common Silly Putty, AID-019 has several differences. It has proven to be completely resistant to tearing, although indentation and apparent cuts are possible. When formed into a ball and thrown, AID-019 bounces twice as much as the regular kind.

The main difference, however, is that AID-019 is capable of copying any picture of a human being it is pressed upon, no matter if ink is involved. It can retain an image from paper, photopaper, even from a television or computer screen. Once an image has been placed on AID-019, the only ways to remove it are to crumple AID-019 into a ball, or to apply rubbing alcohol.

Any actions taken upon AID-019 affect the individual pictured as well, usually resulting in the death of the pictured individual.

Addendum:
We recovered an instance of AID-019 by a sleeper agent in the SCP Foundation during a disposal process following a classified major incident which saw a member of SCP Foundation's administrative structure being revealed a rogue entity and wreaking havoc to the SCP Foundation. As such, the aforementioned foundation had initiated termination processes for the rogue entity alongside SCP instances which he weaponized.

Herein attached is a copy of SCP's report on AID-019 (SCP-███) prior to neutralization by the SCP Foundation.

Out of universe statement

Part or all of this work were once published on the SCP Foundation website by a former admin of theirs, until the removal of his works from there due to credible allegations of grooming. Please see this, this, this for more details.

The creator of this page, who should be referred as Parzival, and the rest at the Psychotronics Division condemn the actions of the now-disgraced former SCP admin to the fullest extent possible. However I felt that it's also important to separate the art from the author, as long as the art in question contains no inherently objectionable content which could be exploited by the alleged predator in furtherance of his depraved activities, or they could be easily re-contextualized to a degree that the inherent harms are totally mitigated. There's also a concern that the accused predator may ironically exploit the Streisand effects caused by the mass content removals by the SCP Foundation, for example by bumping his pages to the top of search engine results and cause more people to fall into his orbit. The main purpose of my action is to counteract the latter.

Best,
Parzival
